Calling
all future camp cooks!
If you like dazzling people with your culinary skills,
get into the kitchen (GSSJC’s Camp Kitchen that is)
Try to imagine 100 hungry girls and adults waiting in line
for a delicious meal. But wait – there was no Camp Kitchen
Certified cook for your event. No one was available. You could
prevent this tragedy from happening by volunteering to be
a Camp Kitchen Certified Cook.
Camp cooks work together in cooking teams, so you’re
not alone. You will make new friends with the same interests
as you. You’ll gain skills for a lifetime in this practical,
hands-on training. Use your new-found skills to cook for your
church, your next family reunion, or even your next party.
After
your training, you will be required to attend a one-time apprenticeship
to complete your certification. Sign up today! You won’t
want to miss this opportunity!
Camp Kitchen Certification: During this
one-day training you will learn the necessary skills to become
a certified Council cook with access to Council camp kitchen
facilities. Learn how to budget and plan meals, buy in bulk,
use and care for kitchen equipment, and the fun of team cooking.
Pre-course work will be required and brought with you to the
training. Please provide your e-mail address so the pre-course
work can be sent in advance. |
