GSUSA Girl Leadership Project

Program Aide PatchGSUSA requires a 10 - hour training.

GSSJC offers girls training in 2 steps.

Step 1 – Program Aide Core Training

Trainings available from:

  • Program Department
  • Day camp volunteers
  • Aquatic Weekend (August)
  • Leaders check out a Resource Kit

Step 2 – Program Aide Specialty Training

Trainings available from:

  • Program Aide volunteers
  • Interest Groups (puppeteers, sailing)
  • Day Camp volunteers

Program Aide Core and Specialty Trainings

Who: Registered Girl Scouts 11-17, No tagalongs

What: 6 hour Program Aide Core Training  OR   4 hour Program Aide Specialty Training

When and where:
October 8, Girl Scout Center, Houston
Core 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Specialty 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

October 15, Lufkin Service Center
Core 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

October 16
Storytime Specialty 1-5 p.m.

Bring: Completed permission form; medical history All participants should bring a pen and notebook

Register: Use Program Registration Form. Girls’ individual names must be provided on registration – no registrations will be accepted with just a leader’s name and “x” girls.

Cost: $5 per participant

Min/Max: 20/50

Program Aide Specialty Resource Kits for
GSUSA’s Program Aide Girl Leadership Project

Council Program Aide Coordinator Julie Ullrich and the Program Aide facilitators are designing resource kits for selected Program Aide Specialties to be completed in the troop/group setting. What it means to be a GSUSA Program Aide
