  • Camp Casa Mare, or
  • Camp Agnes Arnold

When: Saturday, February 4, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Bring: Sack lunch and drinks

Cost: $7 per girl, includes dance clinic, pom-pom, and event patch; no charge for adults, unless you want an event patch. Cost does not include badge/try-it.

Fencing

Fencing Coaching Clinics

Learn the skills of this exciting, fast paced sport with two-hour coaching clinics hosted by experienced, award winning coaches at Bayou City Fencing Academy. Participants will learn basic footwork, lunging and blade techniques and will experience a tournament setting with mini competitions at the end of the session.

First Aid

Trained babysitters are always in demand, so come learn how to be prepared for your job. Portions of the Child Care Interest Project Patch and Caring for Children badges are covered. This course teaches girls how to handle emergencies, prevent accidents, and the knowledge for competent babysitting practices. Students will also learn job-hunting skills to help them find a babysitting job.

Who: Girl Scouts age 11 and older
Where: Camp Agnes Arnold in Conroe, TX
When: Saturday, January 21; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Bring: Please bring a backpack with a babydoll (suitable for diapering), a bottle, pen or pencil, paper, a sack lunch/drink, a cup, and your Permission Slip and Medical Form

Cost: $25 (includes equipment, book and babysitting patch)

Community First Aid with Adult and Child CPR: (Level 1)

This course teaches rescue breathing, how to react in an emergency, how to help choking victims, CPR for adults and children, early recognition of a heart attack, information on accident prevention, and general first aid information and skills. The practice sessions of this course require physical activity. Anyone with a medical condition or disability that would prevent them from taking part in the practice sessions should call and

discuss it prior to attending. The class involves practicing skills on the floor, so please dress comfortably.

Who: Adults and girls age 11+
Bring: Pen or pencil, paper, and a sack lunch/dinner.
Girls – also bring a permission slip (F-204) and medical form (F-185).

First Aid/CPR Challenge

The challenge is designed for individuals who have already taken Red Cross first aid and CPR training, and just need re-certification. No skills will be taught. Come prepared to take the written test and demonstrate proficiency with the skills. After you register, you will be contacted to set up an appointment. You may challenge one or all of the following tests: First Aid Basics, Adult CPR
Child CPR, Infant CPR, AED Essentials, Sports Safety Training
and When Help Is Delayed.

Please call if you need to challenge another First Aid/CPR course.
