Houston Audubon Society
Sims Bayou Urban Nature Center (SBUNC) is now the
Nature Education Center for Houston Audubon Society.
The SBUNC has a peaceful, country-like setting only
minutes from downtown Houston. Situated in historic
Park Place on the original channel of Sims Bayou, the
Nature Center’s log cabin, barn, 100-year old
wagon and gazebo give the property a rustic, homey look.
The vegetable and butterfly gardens, bird blind, ponds,
and wetland trails offer great opportunities to explore
and experience nature in an urban landscape.
