Backpacking Olympics
A Backpackers Rendezvous
The
Backpacking Rendezvous is scheduled for April 1-2 at Camp
Misty Meadows Outback. This year’s theme is Backpacking
Olympics. Rendezvous is where backpackers from across San
Jacinto Council get together as one big group for fun and
excitement. Come enjoy some open format Olympic fun –
Backpacking style! Registration is through The Golden Link.
This should be an outrageously funny weekend! Details of the
events activities to follow.
You don’t have to be a backpacker or have gone through
Backpacking Orientation to attend this year’s Backpacking
Rendezvous! So, mark your calendars and save the date!
Who: All Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts
are invited to join the adventure. Bridging Juniors are also
welcome to visit on Saturday, April 1 as day-only Where: Camp
Misty Meadows Outback When: April 1-2; Saturday 9 a.m.- Sunday

Note: Troops must have an adult with Standard
Troop Camp certification. All Juliettes and Individual Girls
are welcome to join in the fun. Please specify on your registration

Scout Day at the
Houston Zoo!
Join
us at the Houston Zoo for Scout Day on Saturday, December
3! All you need to do is wear your vest or sash to get into
the zoo for free, and you will have opportunities to earn
badges, learn about the zoo’s animals, and get great
prizes. Check out www.houstonzoo.org for more information.
