Tour Minute Maid Park

Minute Maid Park has been home to the Houston Astros since the stadium’s completion in 2000. Located in downtown Houston at Union Station, Minute Maid Park has received many local, state and national awards for its design and engineering. Built to reflect Houston’s historical relationship with the railroads, it features a vintage, full size locomotive that runs along 800 feet of track on the left field wall.

Educational tours can include:

  • Time in the Learning Center playing interactive games and researching the history of Major League Baseball in the United States.
  • Tour the historic Union Station, broadcasting booths, press boxes or luxury suites.

Upcoming Senior Senate Meeting

Our first Senior Senate meeting of 2005-2006 was cancelled due to Hurricane Rita. We held the October 9 meeting as planned, but you may not have gotten word with all of the craziness that came after the storm. If you plan to participate in Senior Senate this year, it’s not too late. You have one more opportunity. Please plan to come to the November 13 meeting at the Girl Scout Center in Houston from 2-4 p.m. Confirm your participation with Julie Deeter at 713-292-0203, 800-392-4340, or jdeeter@sjgs.org so we can get you on the roster. Hope to see you there!

Coming Soon! The Essential Unmentionables Service Project.
