Juliette’s Tea Party

What a fun way to spend the day! We’re having an old-fashioned tea party for Brownies and Juniors, and we hope you’ll come! Girls will learn about Victorian etiquette and manners, enjoy tea and cake, play games typical of Juliette’s era, meet “Juliette Low,” and even make something special to take home.

Brownies: Saturday, February 18
9-11:30 a.m. (Check in at 8:30 a.m.)

Juniors: Sunday, February 18
1:30-4 p.m. (Check in at 1 p.m.)

Where: Houston Girl Scout Center

Bring:
A willingness to have fun, Permission Slip, Medical Form, and a camera (for a photo op with “Juliette Low”).

Wear: Party Clothes or Victorian Costume (gloves and hat optional)

Min./Max.: 25/100 girls per session

Cost: $4 per girl (includes patch)

Note: During the event, there will be a separate program available for the leaders who wish to stay. Please drop off and pick up girls (along with their permission slips (F-204) and medical forms (F-185)) at the registration area.


Senior Program Aides

Would you like to earn service hours by helping teach games, crafts or etiquette to Brownies and Juniors? Would you like to learn about some of the early activities from Girl Scouting? If so, then we need you! Contact Dorothy Goodykoontz at 281-920-0302 for information about volunteering!

2006 Senior Recognition Event Girl Planning Board

Are you a talented speaker? Like to decorate and take pictures?
Does event-planning appeal to you?

Then you should apply for the 2006 Senior Recognition Event Girl Planning Board!

  • Meetings held monthly on Sundays, 2-4 p.m., Girl Scout Center.
  • First meeting in January 2006. Future meeting dates set with your input.
  • You must be able to attend the May 7 Senior Recognition Event at Camp Agnes Arnold.
  • In addition to regular meetings, we will stay overnight at Camp Agnes Arnold on May 6 and have a wrap up party at the Girl Scout Center in late May.

Interested?

Complete a Council Girl Planning Board Member Application (Form F-492) and return to Julie Deeter, Program Manager at GSSJC, 3110 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77098.

Application deadline: December 15.

We will accept 12 applicants, so be sure to get your application in today!
