from Houston mayor
On
March 8, Councilman Mark Goldberg introduced a proclamation
honoring the 93rd birthday of the Girl Scouts of the USA on
March 12 and proclaiming March 6-12 Girl Scout week. Girl Scouts
from Woodview Elementary and Troop #1145 were in attendance

In
February, Girl Scouts who participated in the Gifts with Heart
program were presented with a proclamation from the mayor to
honor their hard work and service to the community. More than
2,000 toys were made in four weeks. The mayor proclaimed December
19 Gifts with Heart Day and was pictured with Girl Scouts from
Troop #1145 and #4673 as well as Susan Mullins and Rosalind
Rolls from Gifts with Heart, Melissa Wilson from FOX 26, John
Sester, David Rowland and Ben Camire with Lowe’s and Barbara
McCormick, president of Children At Risk.
With help from Girl Scouts of San Jacinto
Council, the goal for Gifts with Heart 2005 is to make 7,000

girls will be able to attend workshops at Lowe’s. Workshop
