2005 Aquatic Weekends

  • July 29-31 and August 5-7
  • Camp Casa Mare
  • Learn canoeing, sailing, first aid, CPR, swimming, lifeguarding, or many other activities
  • There is something for all ages from Daisies through adults!

Location: All activities will be held at Camp Casa Mare in Seabrook unless otherwise specified.
Registration: Use the Program Registration Form for all listed events. Send registration and fees to: GSSJC, 3110 Southwest Frwy, Houston, Texas 77098
Note: If you are registering for more than one person or a troop/group, please list individual participant’s names, addresses, and telephone numbers so a confirmation letter and materials can be sent to them directly. Do not send in permission slips, medical forms, or copies of certificates; bring those to camp with you. REGISTER EARLY as space is limited. An information/confirmation letter and/or study guide will be sent upon registration. If you don’t receive registration information/confirmation letter and/or study guide one week prior to camp, call or e-mail and one will be sent. MAKE sure to order your event T-shirt when you register!
General Info: ALL students MUST stay at camp if the course lasts two or more days.
All meals are provided for those registered.
All registered will receive an Aquatic Weekend patch.
T-shirts will be available on a pre-order basis – see order form on next page.
Dorm moms are always welcome.
Red Cross books may be purchased at any Red Cross service center,
713-526-8300, or the Houston Girl Scout Service Center 713-292-0300
Please note: No tagalongs or persons not registered in a class will be permitted to stay at camp.

You must bring all certifications to camp with you, including swim cards, Safe Boat Test Card, and all sailing certifications.
*NO GSSJC Safe Boating
Tests will be given at camp
(except for Swim Strokes Workshops). Any currently certified ARC Lifeguard or ARC Water Safety Instructor could give GSSJC SBT. Check the Mariner Web site (www.gssjc.org/mariners/swimcard.htm) for details. However, all participants must satisfactorily complete the Red Cross small craft swim test at the beginning
of any of the boating courses.
