Actually the 22" square piece of cloth is extremely versatile and no Girl Scout (or car or home) should be without one. Discover fun ways to use bandanas through creative tying, stories, and poems.

– Building Assets in Congregations: Despite differences in congregations, there are many core values, principles, and commitments that congregations and Girl Scouts share. Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets provide a way for faith-based communities and Girl Scouts to highlight our similarities and focus on what we do together to assist the developmental growth of girls.

- Travel the Four World Centers and Beyond: Have you ever dreamed of traveling to the World Centers or other Girl Scout locales? Hear practical tips and ideas for memorable troop trips from an experienced leader who has traveled the world.

– The Secret Life of Germs: Is your house making you and your family sick? This eye-opening workshop will show you where germs are breeding in your house, and how you can

stop ineffective cleaning. Learn the “down and dirty” truth about germs, bacteria, and the correct way to clean and sanitize your home.

– Cyber-bullies: Gone are the days of writing insulting and damaging messages on the restroom walls. Today’s children are being bullied and harassed high-tech style. The computer and other technological devices are now the newest vessel for harassment of our kids. Learn how technology has transitioned into a convenient bullying tactic.

– Scrapbooking - Girl Scout Style: Do you have mounds of photos from your Girl Scout troop activities just waiting to be made into lasting memories? Learn how to use the latest techniques and tricks of the trade to create pages that you and your troop will treasure for years to come. This fun session is easy enough for beginners, and challenging enough for experienced scrappers. Robin Rabbit will make an appearance to teach you how to scrap pictures of her with your troop.

and 13 – Cookie Sale 2006: Discover the secret recipe for a successful Cookie Sale. Get a taste of the new items and programs for the 2005-2006 membership year. This workshop is guaranteed to sweeten you sale.

– Mind Over Matter: Is being the “Superwoman” or “Superman” getting to you? Come enjoy the time-tested means of relaxation using meditation. Learn to understand the purpose of meditation and how it is used to calm the mind, release stress and anxiety, and serve as a healing technique. You will experience meditation and its relaxing qualities in this interactive workshop. Comfortable attire is recommended.

- “Toadally” Awesome: Jump-start your troop/group’s treasury by getting great tips for an awesome Fall Product Sale! Learn clever marketing ideas and all about the “Holiday Combo” from Ashdon Farms representative, Dennis Demitros. Discover new troop/group activities to kick-off your membership year. This year’s product line up is “Toadally” Awesome!

– Ease Your Financial Fears: Keeping accurate financial records leads to a more effective, cohesive troop. However, you don’t need to be a CPA to do this. If you are a leader who feels overwhelmed by reconciling your troop funds, this workshop will help ease your mind. Come learn the basics of money management, including troop finance, planning and budgeting.

– Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls: Sugar and Spice, but not everything’s nice. Girls are just as aggressive as boys, they act out in much more subtle ways. Many girls will show aggression towards others in ways that are virtually “invisible” to parents, but can be devastating to girls who are the target of such aggression. In this workshop, experts will discuss this hot topic and help parents and troop leaders understand this hidden culture as well as give them tips on how to approach the subject with their girls.

- Cluttering Isn’t About the Stuff: Has your house become the “Black Hole” for clutter?! Learn why you collect stuff. Cluttering can negatively affect your job, relationships, and self-esteem. This behavior is not about individual items, but more about the psychology behind the choices to keep or get rid of things. Discover how to regain control and approach cluttering from a fresh point of view.

- Swing Your Partner: Yee Haw! Have a foot-stompin’ good time as you learn to follow the calls in square dancing. This form of dance is a Texan favorite that even the most inexperienced dancer is sure to enjoy. Wallflowers and dancing queens alike will have fun cutting a rug in this interactive workshop.
