Dear Girl Scouts
The 27th Annual Bargain Book Sale is nearly here! Each year, the Friends of the Houston Public Library hosts the biggest (more than 5,000 people attend) and best used book sale in the country. We would like to ask for your help in putting on this extraordinary sale. Did you know the Friends use four semi trucks to move 90,000 books to the Convention Center for the sale?
One of the most important jobs for a successful sale is keeping the books on the tables. This takes energy and enthusiasm to get books from our sorting area to the right spot and then to keep the tables in order so that shoppers can find what they want. This is a job that has GIRL SCOUTS written all over it!
Will you join us? It’s fun, it’s always interesting, and, it’s easy to sign up!

The Friends Office: 832-393-1387
Thank you for volunteering! We look forward to seeing you there.
