Resident camp open house

GSSJC has a SUPER summer planned for Girl Scouts at resident camp this year. Open house is a great opportunity for prospective campers and parents to view our fantastic camps and facilities and ask questions to the camp staff who are there to help you.
Tour the camps and view accommodation and activity sites, find out about the large variety of meals served, talk with some of the returning camp staff and meet the camp directors overseeing Camps Agnes Arnold, Casa Mare, and Misty Meadows.

When: Sunday March 20; noon-4 p.m., from 2-3 p.m. at each camp there will be a question/answer session in the lodge/galley.
Where: Camps Agnes Arnold, Casa Mare, and Misty Meadows

Each camp offers varied and exciting sessions every summer, so come and see which camp is best suited for your daughter. A parent, guardian or troop leader must accompany children attending open house. There is no registration for open house; however there will be a sign in sheet for all visitors on the day. Please dress casually and wear comfortable closed-toe shoes. Bring appropriate wet weather gear if necessary. PLEASE LEAVE ALL PETS AT HOME.
If you cannot attend the day or have further questions about resident camp, please contact: Nicole McInnes at 713-292-0353 or nmcinnes@sjgs.org.
It is not necessary to have registered for resident camp to attend Open House. This day is for all prospective and returning campers, their parents, and families.

Earth Day 2005 Patch Design

Congratulations go out to Veronica, a Cadette Girl Scout from Troop #5280 who recently won the 2004 Texas E.P.A. Poster Contest. Veronica is a Katy eighth-grader at Memorial Parkway Junior High School.

GSSJC also wishes to offer Veronica our special thanks, as her colorful patch design is so eye-catching that it was selected to be the 2005 GSSJC Earth Day Event Patch!
