G.E.M.S. 2005
Girls Enjoying Math and Science

The Girls Enjoying Math and Science event will be hosted by the Houston Museum of Natural Science in April 2005. The Museum’s Education staff enjoyed GEMS 2004 so much they invited GSSJC to be their guests for the GEMS 2005 event at their ‘house’. Girl Scouts are invited to host booths, like last year, with the other event logistics coordinated by our wonderful hosts! So, mark your calendars for Saturday, April 30!

Who: Girl Scouts of all ages and family members
What: A math and science extravaganza in a great museum setting
When: Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: Houston Museum of Natural Science, 1 Hermann Circle Drive, 77030
Why: Explore the museum, enjoy booths developed and staffed by girls on math and science topics
Cost: $7/person, all ages
Register: The Girl Scout Office will not be accepting registrations for this event. To register, contact the HMNS call center, 713-639-4629, drop by the box office at the museum, or register online at www.hmns.org. The code for the event is GMS.
Deadline: Walk-ins are allowed for this event.
Note: The Houston Museum of Natural Science is located in Houston’s Museum District and easy walking distance from the Metro Light Rail system. Parking in the area near the museum is very busy on weekends. Consider extending this field trip by including a ride on Houston’s Light Rail System.
