Cadette Troop #12311 earned their Marian Medal in February 2005. This is a religious recognition program that is earned during the Cadette years. Jaime, Haleigh , Kelly, Carli, and Julia worked very hard to complete the Project book by meeting monthly, working individually, having a sleepover to complete the book and activities, and attending the Spiritual Awareness weekend.

Ann Marie and Elizabeth were presented the “I Live My Faith” Award by Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza on April 3 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Both girls are from Troop #12635 of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

All American Benches

     The girls in our Girl Scout Troop #2389 graduated from Corpus Christi Catholic School in 2003. We wanted to leave a legacy gift and the gift we chose was a set of benches that could be converted into tables.
      We wood burned 50 stars on the back part of the benches. On the front side of the bench we wrote “God Bless America” and on the other bench we wrote “God Bless Us One and All.”
     We realized wood burning is not an easy thing to do, especially in the summer heat. If we totaled up the hours we worked, it probably would have taken us about a week to complete the benches. In October 2004 we presented the benches to Corpus Christi Catholic School with another Girl Scout troop. They looked absolutely American!
