Gifts with Heart 2005 With help from GSSJC and other community groups, Gifts with Heart 2005 has the challenging goal of making 7,200 toys. Those toys will be distributed to children in the metropolitan Houston area through Gifts with Heart sponsor Children at Risk. From June through November 2005, GSSJC girls, leaders, and parents will be able to attend workshops at many of the different Lowe’s. Dates through the end of August are listed below. Please wear a troop T-shirt or other identifying item. In December, GSSJC girls who participate in making the projects will be invited to a Gift Exchange, sponsored by Mayor White and Fox 26 News.

Lowe’s
was a major partner and contributor to Gifts with Heart 2004, providing
supplies, materials and a space to make holiday gifts. The home
improvement retailer will continue to support the program by donating
its Build and Grow projects to be assembled, decorated and transformed
into holiday gifts for underprivileged children.
