Celebrate Camp Robinwood Troop Campaign
Calling all scrapbookers!
It’s history in the making and Robin wants to keep a record of her travels and activities during these next two years. You can help us make a Robin Rabbit Scrapbook. When you see Robin at camp or she comes for a visit to your troop or service unit, pose with her and then send us your original 12" X 12" scrapbook page. Don’t forget to identify everyone who is pictured with Robin and please be sure that your page includes acid free materials that will stand the test of time. Also, make sure you include some journaling to tell us what happened during your visit. The first 100 troops that turn in a page will receive a Bunky Bunny kit including a small Bunky Bunny, a CD and a book. Send to GSSJC, Marianita Paddock, 3110 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77098. Happy scrapping!

Hold a money-earning activity
to reach your goal for
Celebrate Camp Robinwood Campaign

Raising money can be fun, and it takes a little planning. Robin Rabbit is very excited that the troops have decided to participate in the Celebrate Camp Robinwood Troop Campaign to raise $500,000 for a replacement lodge and a new camping unit for the camp.
You may be wondering: how on earth is your troop going to do that? Here are some ideas that Robin suggests to help you hop to it!
You will be able to accomplish your goal through the troops’ money-earning activities. This means that you may want to sell extra boxes of fall product, hold a garage sale or car wash, or establish a baby-sitting service. How about offering a gift-wrapping service or perhaps a party-planning service? There are plenty of creative ideas.
No matter what idea you come up with, be sure that it strictly follows the money-earning activities procedures in the Resource Guide and Safety-Wise. The Resource Guide can be found on the Council’s Web site on the CIN. Safety-Wise was given out to troops in your new troop packets, but extra copies are available in the Girl Scout Shop.
Keep in mind that Daisy Girl Scouts are not allowed to participate in Council sponsored product sales nor additional money-earning activities; however, if they have money in their troop funds, they can certainly decide to make a donation to the campaign. Also, the campaign runs for two years, so Daisies will get a chance to participate when they become Brownies. Be thinking now how you will plan your budget because Brownie Girl Scouts are not allowed to participate in any additional money-earning activities outside of the Council-sponsored product sales! For any level, no troop/group money-earning activity can be conducted during the local United Way campaign, fall product sale, or Cookie Sale. That means no fund-raising or money-earning activities are allowed during the time periods of January through March and August through November.
When in doubt, contact Robin’s staff colleague Marianita Paddock at 713-292-0207 mpaddock@sjgs.org for clarification.
