  • 51% of girls ages 13 - 15

    church or religious groups

P.R.A.Y. (Programs of Religious Activity for Youth), which promotes and markets the God and Country Series for Protestant and Independent Christian youth, reports a steady increase in program usage. Since the program was initiated in 1977 as a 4 program level comparable with the program and age level in Girl Scouts, program usage has jumped from 861 to 28,203. GSSJC has contributed significantly to this successful venture. These programs are available in the Girl Scout shops and are carried out within their own faith community. They are the property of the developing Faith Communities but the pin may be worn on the uniform showing the intent to become a stronger member of their own faith according to the recommendation of Girl Scouts of the USA.
