Bechtel Building Bridges with Junior Girl Scouts

Celebrate 2005 Engineering Week with Bechtel Engineering! For over 10 years, Bechtel has hosted a special Girl Scout Day with exciting hands-on adventures in math and science. What: Girls participate in 6-8 different activities to fulfill badge requirements
Who: GSSJC registered Junior Girl Scouts
Safety-Wise ratio of adult leaders/volunteers
There should absolutely be no “tag-alongs”
Where: Bechtel Corporation
3000 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, 77056
When: Saturday, February 26
Check in: 8:30 a.m. Event: 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Bring:

  • Bechtel publicity (sent w/ confirmation letter)
  • Permission slip (GSSJC form F-204) for each girl*
  • Medical form (GSSJC form F-185) for each girl*
  • Adult emergency form (GSSJC form F-22) for adults
  • Copy of publicity release portion of the F-185 to leave at Bechtel
  • Girls wear their uniform or troop t-shirt, if available.
  • Drinks, lunch
  • Troop first aid kit (troop adult serves troop girls as first aider at event)
    *Remains with troop leader

Aerospace GSSJC Junior Girl Scout Badge Workshop Hosted by United Space Alliance

What: Girls enjoy the fascinating realm of space at United Space Alliance while completing fun, exciting hands-on activities and earn requirements for the GSUSA Aerospace Junior Girl
Scout Badge.

Who: GSSJC registered Junior Girl Scouts;
Safety-wise ratio of adult leaders/volunteers;
There should absolutely be no tagalongs
Where: United Space Alliance (USA)
USA Training Academy, 1045 Gemini, Houston, TX
When: Saturday, February 26
Check in: 9 a.m.; Event: 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Bring:

  • Completed USA publicity release (sent w/ confirmation letter)
  • Completed permission slip (GSSJC form F-204) for each girl*
  • Completed medical form (GSSJC form F-185) for each girl*
  • Copy of publicity release portion of the F-185 to leave at USA
  • Completed adult emergency form (GSSJC form F- 22) for adults
