Sunfish Skipper and Performance Sailing
This class will enhance training for those Mariners who
have completed previous ratings and service hours who wish
to become a skipper on the Sunfish. These two ratings are
the prerequisites for many other ratings. The Performance
Sailing rating will further enhance the principles of sailing
and its components. You will learn more about navigation and
weather. Charting a course will be one challenge. While earning
Sunfish Skipper you will expand on your skills while developing
good helmsman ship and learning how to sail well. Learning
to sail a Marconi rigged boat or small sloop with just the
main sail will give the Sunfish Skipper a new experience.
