GAM 2005

Deadline for Registration is February 15

GAM is a multi-level event for all Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors that is held at Camp Casa Mare every other year. This year the event will be April 23. It consists of about 20 games, many of which do not involve water. Some of the games require specific skills, but most are just for fun.
Girls register as a “Crew.” A GAM crew is a group of 5-8 girls who compete in the various events at GAM. A crew may consist of girls from different troops or Juliettes, and different levels of Girl Scouting (Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors together in one crew). Each crew picks a name, makes T-shirts, and designs a banner or windsock to represent their crew.
After an opening parade of the crews, the crew spends the day competing in the various games. The day can be competitive or as laid-back as the crew wants. However, at the end of the day, awards will be given to the crews winning the most events and for showing the most enthusiasm. Fun and enthusiasm are the cornerstones of the day.
Trainings are February 5, February 19, and March 19. Cost is $3 per girl. Register with the Program Registration Form. Look on the Septmeber CIN for more training information on activites that require a specific skill or e-mail sboyd@sjgs.org for registration, information, or forms.
