Golf

LPGA Girls Golf Club of Houston was formed specifically to create a network for girls to learn to play golf, build friendships, and sample competition in a non-threatening environment. Girl Scouts of the USA and the United States Golf Association have formed a partnership to promote its national sports initiative. By working together, these three organizations are making golf more accessible to girls and promoting girls’ lifelong interest in the sport.

Babysitting Extravaganza!!

There has been a tremendous demand for the Babysitting Certification course through the American Red Cross. There are so many requests we can barely keep up. This event will accommodate large troops/groups, as well as individual girls. You asked for it, and we are bringing it to you…it is the Babysitting Extravaganza!!
Trained babysitters are always in demand so come learn how to be prepared for your job. Portions of the Child Care Interest patch and Caring for Children badges are covered. This course teaches girls how to handle emergencies, prevent accidents, and the knowledge for competent babysitting practices. Students will also learn job-hunting skills to help them find a babysitting job.
Girls have the option of taking only the Babysitting course on Saturday, which will certify you as a Red Cross Babysitter or stay for the entire weekend and earn certification in First Aid/CPR, as well.
