Love, Hug, and Groom in Nacogdoches
     This program is offered to individual girls or troops in GSSJC who live in the Nacogdoches area. All girl program levels (Daisy Girl Scouts through seniors in high school) may participate. Girls receive an introduction to horse care and hands-on grooming opportunity with camp horses during 45-minute periods at Camp Whispering Pines. Sessions are available beginning at 1 p.m. on October 29.

When: Saturday, October 29, 1-5 p.m.

Daisies in Bloom

A Celebration of Life, Mother-Daughter Breast Cancer Awareness Event for Girls 11-17 and their Mothers
Saturday, October 29, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
M. D. Anderson Cancer Prevention Building

Early Bird Cost: $18/person or $30/mother-daughter pair (if postmarked by 9/30/05)
Regular cost: $20 /person (if postmarked 10/01/05 and 10/15/05)

For the first time ever: Event open to non-Girl Scouts!
Bring a friend and/or her mother and be entered in a special drawing!

Earn the “In the Pink!” Breast Cancer Awareness Interest Project Patch just by attending this event and participating in the workshops and activities, which include a service project.
Learn up close and personal what all the fuss is about breast health. Guest speakers will talk about mammography, nutrition, physical activity, components of good breast health and what YOU can do NOW to reduce your risk of breast cancer.
Light refreshments will be provided in the morning and afternoon.
