Want a Challenge? Join the Dragon Boat Regatta!

The 2nd Annual Dragon Boat Youth competition is coming to Clear Lake so start gathering your team! Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is looking for girls to join a paddling team to race against other local youth in this fun race. A team consists of 25 girls. This is a great opportunity for troops, service units, interest groups, or girl planning boards. You do not have to register as a team, you can register individually and join one of the other Girl Scout teams. Paddling experience is not necessary, either!

Who: Girl Scouts in grades 9 and up
Where: Clear Lake Park
When: October 23, 9:30 a.m.
Bring: Permission slip, medical form, sunscreen, snacks
Min/Max: 25/75
Cost: $40 per girl. This includes registration, T-shirt, coach, and boat

Got Camp?

Leaders – here’s a great activity to start your troop off for the year, not to mention a great way to introduce your girls to camp. Enjoy making ice cream and crafts, singing songs, playing games and learning a new camp skill. There’s even a scavenger hunt hike to show you around camp.

Who: Daisy, Brownie, Junior Girl Scouts and their leaders Cost: $8 for girls and adults (Includes patch, event supplies, and camp fee)

Just for Juniors

A fun day at camp sponsored by the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council History Committee! Activities will include hiking and trail signs, singing, crafts, lashing and knot tying relays, ceremonies, SWAPS, and lots of surprises – like spending a day at camp in Grandma’s shoes! Leaders – you get to play, too! There will be activities just for leaders, so you can learn all the new (old) skills your girls do, and learn how to teach them, too!
