Quilt Making
To many, “quilt” conjures up memories of bed covers
lovingly made by our Grandmother; but this art form is becoming
a popular hobby for girls and adults of today. We’ll
take a look at the evolution of quilting, including where
quilt names come from. You’ll have the opportunity to
create a design all your own and even go home with a finished
(or almost) project. No prior sewing skills needed.

Campfire Ceremonies
There is a hypnotizing magic about a fire as it dwindles into
ashes. Learn how to create lasting memories with campfire
ceremonies. Includes information on how to move from building
a campfire, through the high point of the fire and finally
the closing of the campfire.

Bring some fun into the backyard. Your girls will want to
learn how to make these unique wind chimes, bird feeder and
other whimsical art for their gardens.

come rest and relax on Saturday night. Indicate your plans
to spend Saturday night at camp by selecting this course offering.
Sunday morning will be filled with food, fun, and entertainment!

Mix it Up with Program
Bust the myths and get just the facts about the programs offered
at GSSJC. Discover the wonderful opportunities that await
girls with girl planning boards, special interest groups,
program opportunities and more.

10 a.m.-6 p.m.
First Aid with Adult and Child CPR ($15)
This course teaches how to react in an emergency, how to help
choking victims, CPR for adults and children, early recognition
of a heart attack, information on accident prevention, and
general first aid information and skills. It is important
to arrive on time. The class involves practicing skills on
the floor, so dress comfortably. Anyone with a medical condition
that would prevent them from taking part should call and discuss
it prior to attending.
Bring: Pen or pencil, paper, and a lunch
