Quilt Making
To many, “quilt” conjures up memories of bed covers lovingly made by our Grandmother; but this art form is becoming a popular hobby for girls and adults of today. We’ll take a look at the evolution of quilting, including where quilt names come from. You’ll have the opportunity to create a design all your own and even go home with a finished (or almost) project. No prior sewing skills needed.

There is a hypnotizing magic about a fire as it dwindles into ashes. Learn how to create lasting memories with campfire ceremonies. Includes information on how to move from building a campfire, through the high point of the fire and finally the closing of the campfire.

Sunday morning will be filled with food, fun, and entertainment! You can also sign up for some fun program and first aid training on Sunday –see courses listed below.

Mix it Up with Program
Bust the myths and get just the facts about the programs offered at GSSJC. Discover the wonderful opportunities that await girls with girl planning boards, special interest groups, program opportunities and more.

10 a.m.-6 p.m.

First Aid with Adult and Child CPR ($15)
This course teaches how to react in an emergency, how to help choking victims, CPR for adults and children, early recognition of a heart attack, information on accident prevention, and general first aid information and skills. It is important to arrive on time. The class involves practicing skills on the floor, so dress comfortably. Anyone with a medical condition that would prevent them from taking part should call and discuss it prior to attending.
