A Note from Robin Rabbit

a special thank you to
our donors to the
Celebrate Camp Robinwood Troop Campaign.
Our total so far is $6,094.85.

Way to go Troops!!!

Help us keep track of our progress: The new Robin Hop to our goal chart is located in the lobby at the Girl Scout office. This is a great way to keep track of where we are on our way to the troop goal of $500,000.

Let me share a letter the Council got from Troop #3612:

Dear San Jacinto Council,

Troop #3612 of Deer Forest Service Unit is proud to donate $250 for Camp Robinwood. Many of our members attend various Girl Scout camps as the highlight of their summer. They know the importance of these weeks on their lives.
At a young age, our girls understand the importance of Girl Scouting. To raise money, they held a try-it workshop for Brownies in our service unit. Ninety-three Brownies earned three try-its each during the three-hour workshop. Troop #3612 worked five months planning this great event. Brownie leaders are already asking if we will do this again next year. It was a great experience for all.
The members of Troop #3612 voted to donate $250 of their profit from this workshop for Camp Robinwood. A picture of most of our troop is enclosed. We have 18 members, three leaders and many parents who worked for this goal.
Thank you for leading a program that will make a difference for our girls.

Sincerely,
Carol McKenzie, Valery Biancardi, Jan Smith, and Girl Scouts of Troop #3612

Members of Troop #11550 presented Robin Rabbit and Council President Cora Ann Blytas with a check for $373.74 for the Celebrate Camp Robinwood Troop Campaign. They worked diligently to collect these pennies in just four months, and plan to continue collecting in order to give another gift next year! Their theme was “Copper for Camp.”

Cora Ann Blytas and Robin Rabbit also visited the Council’s Take Note Choir in February to tell members about the Celebrate Robinwood Troop Campaign. Throughout the spring, Robin visited other special interest groups including the Puppetry Troupe, and the sailing, equestrian, and backpacking groups. Her summer schedule has been busy too as she visits with campers at her home, Camp Robinwood, during Carousel. Robin can visit your troop too. Contact her staff advisor, Marianita Paddock, at 713-292-0207 or mpaddock@sjgs.org to set it up.
