Basic Water Rescue
This Red Cross
course provides individuals with the information and skills
necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to water emergencies
using non-swimming rescues. Proper techniques to care for possible
head, neck or back injuries will be covered. This course will
also prepare you for water emergencies by teaching you how to
protect yourself while assisting others. This course will NOT
provide you with all the information and skills needed to be
a certified lifeguard. It is a great class for those desiring
to become certified pool watchers. It is the course recommended
by Safety-Wise. It is also the course for those wishing to become
Motorboat Operators for the sailing program.
