What: Girls visit the Boomtown Museum and earn GSUSA Junior Girl Scout Local Lore and Folk Art badges
Who: GSSJC registered Junior Girl Scouts
Safety-wise ratio of adult leaders/ volunteers
Absolutely no tagalongs
Where: Spindletop/Gladys City Boomtown Museum
located on the Lamar University Campus in Beaumont, TX.
When: Saturday, April 30 or Sunday, May 1 (Due date 4/18)
Saturday, May 21 or Sunday, May 22 (Due date 5/9)
Check in: 12:30 p.m.; Event:1-5 p.m.
Bring:
  • Completed Gladys City publicity release (sent w/ confirmation)
  • Completed permission slip (GSSJC form F-204) for each girl*
  • Completed medical form (GSSJC form F-185) for each girl*
  • Completed adult emergency form (GSSJC form F-22) for adults
  • Girls wear their uniform or troop T-shirt, if available.
  • Troop first aid kit (troop adult serves girls as first aider at event)*Remains with troop leader
Min./Max.: 10/30
Cost: $5/girl, Safety-wise ratio of adult leaders/volunteers free (badges not included)
