You’re Invited
by Dianne Massie
There is something that happens in every part
of Girl Scouting. It happens at troop meetings, at bridging
ceremonies, at campouts, when conducting service projects,
in trips across the city, across the country, across the world;
when you meet grown up Girl Scouts, invariably they have at
least a dozen stories about being a Girl Scout!
Stories that they will remember all their lives
that they will tell their children and their children’s
children because when you are in Girl Scouting, you are making
forever memories!
So what a great theme for a Cookie Sale “Make
Forever Memories.” Girls always remember the fun they
had during the Cookie Sale.
To get this year’s sale off to a great start why not
let the girls make their very own invitations for that very
important Parents Meeting you must have before the beginning
of the Cookie Sale.
Invitations can be made using scraps of cardstock, paper,
rubber stamps, stickers, markers, or paper punches.
To make them really fit in with the Cookie
Sale go the Cookie Volunteer Web site www.abccookievolunteers.com
and download the clip art – cookies, cookie characters,
logos, illustrations, and lots of embellishments to help
the girls make their
invitations a memorable
treasure to keep
for years
to come. |
