The 2005 Career and Tech Day is designed by a Girl Planning Board to offer YOU an opportunity to visit the lovely University of Houston.

  • Speak with female professionals in a variety of careers
  • Earn GSUSA recognitions
  • Write or update personal resume
  • Participate in a service project.
  • Learn about opportunities available for your future

Who: Girls 11-17 (Wear business casual)
When: Saturday, February 5; 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Where: University of Houston Engineering Building
Cost: $10, Safety-Wise ratio of adults free
Troop certified first aider serves troop during event

Explore favorite college majors

An EXCELLENT for girls to explore two of their selected majors up close and personal! Outstanding faculty and staff of the University of Houston take the girls through the challenges and rewards of their selected areas. There will be some walking between sessions on the beautiful UH campus, so please dress accordingly.
To place the girls in their areas of interest, please have them rate the offerings first-fifth choices and include that information with the registration form.

Who: Girls ages 14-17 (wear business casual or Girl Scout uniform)
When: Saturday, February 5, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Where: University of Houston Engineering Building
Why: To explore in depth a major of interest to YOU!
Cost: $5/Girl Scout, special $2.50/girl price if girl also registers for the 2005 UH Career and Tech Fair
Safety-wise ratio of adults free, troop certified first aid trained adults serves troop during event
Girls carry permission slips/medical forms with them
Adult first aid trained adults designated in each session
Min/Max: 75/200
Bring: Drinks and snacks, F-204/permission slip, 2 copies of F–185/medical form, pen, paper, first aid kit
