GENTLY USED GIRL AND ADULT UNIFORMS are needed to re-supply the uniform check-out program available at the Girl Scout Center. Bring girl and adult uniforms to the Girl Scout Center or give to your membership manager to deliver. NASA JOHNSON SPACE CENTER will sponsor the Engineering Career Expo 2004 for Girl Scouts, middle school and high school students, and local community college students. The event is from 6 - 9 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Space Center Houston. Representatives from universities with engineering programs, private sector companies that work with NASA, NASA engineers, and co-op students will be
there with booths, literature, demonstrations, and to answer questions. Astronaut Bonnie Dunbar and NASA engineer Jack Bacon will be keynote speakers for the evening. The event is free and no registration is required. For more information visit http://education.jsc.nasa.gov/K12/CareerFair.htm.

GIRL SCOUTS CAN EARN FOUR BADGES in one day on May 8. Magnolia High School will hold its third annual Girl Scout Badge Fair. The fair will include activities for both Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts. All workshops will meet the requirements in the Girl Scout Badge Book. Cost for the event is $15 if pre-registered and $20 at the door. Cost includes admission and a sack lunch. FREE INSERTS FOR GIRL SCOUT SABBATH AND SUNDAY Religious inserts are available for pick up at the front desk at the Girl Scout Center during regular business hours. These inserts are perfect for placing in church and synagogue bulletins or passing out on Girl Scout Sunday and Sabbath in March or any other time of the year. Call 713-292-0300 to reserve copies. Inserts are available while supplies last.

ATTENTION CADETTES AND SENIORS The Better Business Bureau Education Foundation hosts teens at Scam Jam on Friday, March 19 at Six Flags AstroWorld’s Center Stage from 1 to 5 p.m. Teens can learn how not to be a sitting duck on a ride down Rip Off Road! Scam Jam helps teens to be aware of typical come-on lines involving cons. Scam Jam provides young adults with helpful information on student loans, credit, and consumer rights! Musical entertainment along with informative skits, a fashion show featuring the current teen trends, and door prizes will take place on the Six Flags AstroWorld Center Stage. Just in time for Thinking Day in February, service unit administrators will find information on international games, crafts, and ceremonies to share at service unit meetings. There will also be helpful hints on first aid and safety. Leaders will find updates on program offerings.

GIRL SCOUTS ARE NEEDED to help place flags at the Houston National Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 30 for the upcoming Memorial Day Ceremony. The cemetery is located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston. For information call 281-447-8686, ext. 200. The Memorial Day Ceremony will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 31.
