Girls have fun learning at Engineering, Science, and Technology Day

Marathon hosted a session for Engineering, Science and Technology Day at the Girl Scout Center on February 21. More than 100 Junior Girl Scouts were taught by 28 Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts (most of whom had attended EST Day at Marathon in their younger days).
The girls learned about aerospace, geology, medicine, vibrations, genetics, geometry and math, time, color, machines, the scientific method and more. Younger girls had lots of fun earning three badges, leaders were impressed by the older girls’ abilities as workshop leaders, and the older girls gained tremendous self-confidence as they took charge of the day.
Thanks to Marathon for its tremendous support. This was its tenth year to host an event.
