Teen Advisor
Learn what your role is as an advisor to girls who are 11 to 17 years old. Gain insight into how girls this age think, what they like to do, how to help them set and reach goals, and when to step back so girls can develop leadership skills. Discover ways to become teen savvy, how to talk to girls about the 3T’s (Touchy Teen Topics), and maintain confidentiality with troop/group members, plus much more. Fulfills the requirement for Cadette, Senior, and Studio 2B advisors.
Prerequisite: Basic Leadership Training

I’m Worth Waiting For
Learn to make abstinence more appealing for girls through games, skits, and a video. Filled with life skills teens need such as building healthy relationships and refusal skills. Contains the latest information on the most common STDs. Includes a four-week program for use with girls. #4691; 9 a.m.- noon

Let’s Talk: Communicating with Teens
This course is designed to teach supportive, friendly, and effective methods of communicating with your teenager. Gain a better understanding of them, how to cope with them, and some ways to direct their turbulent lives to make for a more harmonious home. #4693; 1-2:30 p.m.

Staying Power
Are you facing the challenge of keeping your girls in Girl Scouting? This training will provide tips and ideas for getting your girls to continue with the troop or generating interest for new girls. #4692; 1-2:30 p.m.

Ceremonies for Teens
Ceremonies play an important part of Girl Scouting. Cadettes and Senior girls understand and appreciate the meaning of ceremonies. This workshop includes ideas for ceremonies specifically designed with the 12-17 year old girl in mind.

What Do You Really Want?
How to help teens set and achieve goals! Goals are the difference between wishful thinking and making things happen. This training is designed to give advisors a step by step approach to helping girls discover their interests, determine if they are dreaming “big enough,” set short- and long-range goals, develop a plan of action and finally reach their goals. #4695; 2:45-4:15 p.m.
Junior Summer Leadership Training Day

Train for the future! Did your girls just complete their bridging requirements? Are you new at working with Junior age girls or have you had at least a year working with Juniors? We’ve added a resource room with program information and craft ideas.
You will find trainings and information to spark ideas for the upcoming year.

Junior Program Leadership
Explore characteristics of the 9 to 11 year-old girl. Learn about the patrol system, become familiar with the Junior earned awards and discuss other fun program activities for your Junior troop. Required for leaders of Junior-age girls.
Prerequisite: Basic Leadership Training

Junior Enriched Program Leadership
Enrich your troop’s program experience by reviewing characteristics of the 10 to 11 year-old girl. Prepare for bridging to Cadettes, learn to encourage girl problem solving, and share ideas with trainers and other experienced leaders.

Prerequisite: Basic Leadership Training, Junior Program – Leadership and one year working with Juniors.

Ceremonies for Juniors
Learn about the purpose and importance of Girl Scout ceremonies. Workshop includes ideas for flag ceremonies, investitures, bridging, Scouts’ Own and more. These ceremonies are designed for the Junior Girl Scout and are not covered during the program level training. #4709; 1-2:30 p.m.

Planning with Girls
Building a More Effective Partnership. Tips and techniques for leaders of Brownie and Junior troops to use in helping girls learn how to plan. #4710; 1-2:30 p.m.

Team Games
Learn fun teambuilding games to share with your girls and bring them together to make a troop stronger.
