Girl Scout activities for all levels
Learn about the environment at Project Learning Tree
Project Learning Tree is hands-on environmental games and activities. Girls and leaders will have an opportunity to investigate the environment while learning about trees and plants. Adults who take the training have the opportunity to purchase a 400-page activity book that has many games in it that can be used with troops throughout the year. Troop leaders and parents can take the training while girls and other adults actually play the games at this Project Horizons event.  
Who: Brownies, Juniors, leaders, parents
When: February 7; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Camp Misty Meadows
Cost: $8 per person, $20 optional workbook

Maximum: 200 girls
Bring: At least two adults per troop. One adult will participate with the girls and one to take the training.
Also bring: Permission slips, medical forms, adult emergency forms, ground covers, lunch, drinks, and cup.

Theatre Badge Workshop

Juniors can earn their theater badge in one fun day! The event includes a performance by dancers from The Pink Ribbons Project, Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer and three exciting sessions! At the end of the day each girl will receive a Theater Badge. This event is the Gold Award Project of Molly Russ, a senior at Episcopal High School.

The workshop will include:

  • Creating a mask from felt, feathers, sequins, and other materials;
  • Learning the art of stage make-up by applying it to yourself, a mannequin, or a friend; and
  • Playing charades and learning other techniques used by professional actors to warm up and prepare for a performance.
Who: Junior Girl Scouts
When: Saturday, January 31; 10 a.m. -12:30 p.m. (snack provided)
