More About Stacey

What is your favorite Girl Scout Cookie? Thin Mint.

What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to have my own dress shop.

What makes you laugh? My dog Holly, whom we adopted from the SPCA. I also love funny stories.

What is your favorite saying? “It can be done.”

Originally from New Orleans, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council’s Nominating Committee member Stacey Swift is proud that both she and her daughter Christina (now 22) have shared the special bond of Girl Scouting, as they were both Brownie Girl Scouts growing up.

Stacey’s vision is to be able to help “all” girls that want to be a part of Girl Scouting. “We always need to strive to improve we need to be on the same page working together toward our common vision,” she says.

GSSJC has benefited from her strategic planning and marketing expertise, as Stacey has served the Council on the Fund Development Committee for three years and the Friends Advisory Board for two years.

Currently, the public relations manager at Neiman Marcus at The Galleria, Stacey is a resident of Spring and has been married to her husband Robert for 26 years, and is “mom” to Christina and Robert, now both in their early twenties. She is an avid tennis player and she and Robert have lived in Houston for 25 years.

While securing media coverage and developing new branding initiatives for Neiman Marcus, Stacey has been able to work with many community organizations, including the Houston Museum of Fine Arts; The Ensemble Theatre; The Houston Museum of Natural Science; and many others.
