Carousel 2005 Weekend Sign Up

Do your girls want to do something special for younger Girl Scouts? They might want to sign up to be camp counselors for a Carousel session during spring break or in the summer.

Weekdays or weekends over spring breaks at Camp Silver Springs or Camp Whispering Pines and in June and July at Camp Robinwood or Camp Whispering Pines offer girl participants an Olympic size pool (summer), lake to canoe or paddleboat in, or archery to enjoy, as well as special programs! Carousel offers troops an opportunity to share their favorite hobbies or interests with others as they enhance their leadership and planning skills. Carousel offers girls an opportunity to serve as the camp counselors by coordinating the special activities for the Saturday of their selected weekend.

To be considered as a camp counselor troop for the spring or summer session of Carousel 2005, leaders should talk with their troop members, complete the form, and mail it to be received by 9/1/04 for spring and summer Carousel sessions.
A Camp Counselor Orientation will be held on Sunday, September 12. This allows counselors ample time to plan amidst all of their other exciting troop activities and gives the Program Department the information for January article for The Golden Link which advertises this great troop opportunity.

Check your schedules, brainstorm a theme, and contact the Program Department to reserve your session for 2005! Details will be sent to all “camp counselors.”

Watch for information in the January issue of The Golden Link to sign up your girls/troop to participate in Carousel session!
