Troop #5174 entertained the residents of the Carriage Inn retirement home in Katy. The girls brought along fresh baked cookies and homemade bookmarks for the residents in celebration of Grandparents Day.

Memorial Parkway fifth grade Girl Scouts enjoyed a cultural lesson presented by Akihiro Okumura and Lauren Sethney from the Consulate-General of Japan from Houston. The girls were able to try on authentic Japanese attire, view the different types of food, and practice the art of origami.

Troop #10053 had a sleepover and trail ride at Blue Streak Stables. They feed the horses and attended an educational orientation were they completed the Horse Sense Badge and learned the importance of wearing a helmet when horseback riding. They slept in the bunkhouse and had a trail ride the next morning.
