Seniors and Cadettes enjoyed a pre-season game with the Texans.


Troop #7289 had its first camping trip at Camp Misty Meadows. They participated in archery, retired a flag, and attended a Love, Hug, and Groom session.

Senior Troop #5535 attended the Hospitality Career Day at the Conrad N. Hilton College at University of Houston. One of the members now plans to major in hotel and restaurant management when she graduates.

Troop #1843 celebrated achieving its cookie goals by inviting their whole family to a pizza party. Mario's Pizza employees taught the girls about the four food groups and how to make pizza.

Donna Bosholm and Gervaise Walak welcomed back Troop #5203 by hosting a pizza/slumber party. The girls made fancy flip flops, put on skits, and learned hair wrapping. The next morning a limousine was waiting to take them to a pancake breakfast.

Troop #6426 of Beaumont visited the McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge. The girls saw demonstrations on hunting, fishing, and crabbing. They also learned about the coastal wildlife of southeast Texas including the American Alligator.
Some of the girls from the GAM planning board relax and play in the sand after the event.


Troop #1211 went to Galveston's Sea Turtle Facility. They learned about how sea turtles are raised and the facility's efforts to keep the turtles safe in the wild. The girls spoke with a marine biologist and learned about how to enter this profession. The girls then ate lunch at Fish Tales restaurant.


Troop #1363 participated in a flag ceremony and collected eight shoe boxes of goodies and needed items to send to their adopted military friend stationed in Iraq.
