Betsy H. helped birds of the Houston area have homes in the growing urban area and educated girls about birds' needs. She went to several troops and talked about birds and how to help them. The girls then built birdhouses or bird feeders. The girls took the houses home to put up or the houses were hung up in city parks as part of the Houston Migratory Bird Project.

Meredith R. held a badge workshop for bridging Brownies and Juniors . Girls had the opportunity to learn the qualities of a good citizen while earning the United We Stand and Ms. President badges. The girls went to several different stations to earn badge requirements, played games, and sang songs.
